Frequently Asked Questions
How do I subscribe?
To subscribe, visit the “Choose A Plan” page and select between our Core and Premium offerings. Core is designed to build the foundation of strengths. Premium is the complete lesson set that extends the curriculum into activating strengths and building a positive future.
How do I get started?
Begin by forming a dedicated group of stakeholders committed to integrating sustainable Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) within your school community. Determine lesson environments and facilitators. Your “Welcome” packet includes an overview, an “Implementation Guide,” “Facilitator Guide,” and introduction letters for staff and families.
Do I need specific training to implement and facilitate the Autonome curriculum ?
No specific training is necessary to implement and facilitate the Autonome curriculum. Its plug-and-play design empowers facilitators and students alike, guiding them through sequences of information, inquiry, and experiences within each video lesson and companion resources.
How can families get involved?
Included in the “Welcome Packet” is a template letter to families, introducing Autonome and expressing your school’s commitment to SEL. This template is meant to be a helpful resource and can be edited to fit your desired message and tone. Families are encouraged be a partner in the process of your students’ growth.
Is the Autonome Program suitable for Home/School or Independent Study Programs?
Autonome is ideal for home/school or independent study programs, offering flexible plug-and-play video instruction, discussion prompts for group or individual responses, and post-lesson reflection journal prompts.
Approximately how much time should be allotted for each lesson?
Autonome lessons are designed to fit within a single school period. Facilitators are encouraged to extend sessions if student engagement leads to productive discussions. Lessons are seamlessly completed in the subsequent session as the lessons are segmented by discussion prompts.
Video lessons are 12-20 minutes long, allowing ample time for meaningful discussions. Minimal preparation is needed beyond reviewing each lesson’s theme and objectives.
Approximately how much preparation time will I need before each lesson?
Beyond a glance at the lesson’s theme, objectives, and upcoming discussion prompts, no further preparation is required before presenting each lesson. Everything is included in the lesson overview document that accompanies each lesson.
How can a school track program efficacy?
Included with each subscription is a pre and post participant Wellbeing Survey, Student Feedback survey, and a “Facilitator Feedback” survey. We encourage schools to track progress against relevant KPIs such as referrals, disciplinary actions, absenteeism rates, grades, and graduation rates for further insight into impact.
What is the Autonome’s target audience?
The Autonome curriculum is intended for young people ages 14 years+ as the program approaches SEL with authenticity and originality. Elementary school students do better with a more theatrical approach that is less appropriate for older students.
What makes Autonome unique?
Autonome is the complete package! The Autonome curriculum is a video plug and play collection of theme-based SEL lessons bridging coaching protocol and mindfulness practices.
Each mindfulness practice syncs with each lesson. All lessons culminate with an “anchoring thought to encapsulate the essence of the lesson and an affirmation for personal integration.
Adult facilitators and student participants enter into a collaborative social emotional learning journey together as they co-create a trusting, supportive environment for new learnings, reflection and insight.
Each lesson is sequenced to create a tool box of information, skills, strategies and experiences promoting sustainable, enduring growth and change.
Video lessons are guided by a professional educator, coach and mindfulness practitioner, your virtual guide, “Coach Fran!”
