BEL Summer Program – Autonome Skills
Autonome (pronounced like “Autonomy”) is an online program available to BEL fellows which focuses on advancing social-emotional competencies and building essential life skills.
Each mentorship team is provided with a login, and you are welcome to peruse the lessons that seem interesting to you!
The lessons do not have to be completed in order – we suggest that you select a handful of lessons to work through and discuss as a pair over the summer.
The lessons have been segmented into topics. Each topic concludes with a discussion prompt where you can engage within your pair to reflect, assess, discuss, and share your connection or thoughts on the prompt. Once the discussion concludes, you can advance to the next topic.
Before your first lesson, you can start by making a copy and filling out this Well-Being Survey. This survey will give you a directional sense of your general state of wellbeing. You can take the survey again at the end of the program to see how you’ve changed.
Here are a few suggested lessons:
- Lesson 2: Mastering Your Stressors to Become Resilient
- Lesson 3: Living Life Through Your Strengths
- Lesson 13: Understanding Bias and Challenging Negative Bias with Empathy and Compassion
- Lesson 16: Connecting with Self-Confidence
- Lesson 17: Discovering the Leader in You
If you work through a lesson, please mark the sections as complete so you can track the portions you have seen and so the team can understand more about what content is most useful and interesting to you.
Enjoy!
