Firstly, thank you very much for taking a look at my program! I designed Autonome directly from my experience working with teens and young adults as a teacher, counselor, and certified wellness coach. My vision was to build a program to deliver the tools to young people to manage their lives today and prepare prepare them for their next phase in life.

The program is designed to be true skill-building around social emotional learning competencies. It’s presented with authenticity and is respectful or where young people are in their life’s journey, guiding them to identifying their unique qualities, how to activate those qualities, and eventually leverage those qualities to reach their potential.

You can learn more about Autonome on our website, autonome101.com.

This is a pilot account with the first 5 lessons from Autonome (see the lesson link at the bottom of this page). The complete curriculum is much more comprehensive with many more lessons, topics, surveys, and other materials.

If you have any questions during your pilot please email [email protected].

Familiarize yourself with the comprehensive Facilitator Guide, which serves as a valuable companion, offering insights, tips, and strategies to enhance the learning experience and ensure the successful implementation of Autonome.

Sincerely,

Coach Fran Kenton

To make the most of Autonome, we recommend that facilitators take the following steps before each lesson:

  • Prepare with Lesson Overview: Utilize the lesson overview document available in the materials section of each lesson for a preview of the upcoming lesson’s objectives, SEL-aligned competencies, and discussion prompts.
  • Familiarize with Discussion Prompts: Take time to become acquainted with the discussion prompts for the lesson. This preparation will help facilitate meaningful and engaging conversations with students.
  • Print Necessary Materials: Ensure that any required materials, such as corresponding lesson journal prompts and worksheets, are printed and readily available for the lesson.
  • Utilize Curated Quotes: Add depth to discussions and enhance the learning experience with lesson-aligned quotes. Some ideas for using the quotes as a lesson extension opportunity are: discuss the quote outright, write a poem or create a drawing about what the quote makes you feel or think, research the quote’s author and write or share what you learned, consider how you view the quote differently after the lesson as compared to before.

You’ll also see a Pre-Wellbeing Survey (within the Launch Lesson) and a Post-Wellbeing Survey (the last topic within Lesson 5). We recommend that you administer the survey to your students at each of these points which will be able to give you a sense of the trend of wellbeing within your students during the pilot. This will be a useful datapoint during the pilot feedback session. Be sure to read the instructions, and of course, let us know if there are any questions.
